Cloning Websites

Cloning a website will make a direct copy of the website, including all existing files and databases. Email accounts will not be cloned.

A website can only be cloned to the organisation it exists in.

Configure cloning functionality

In order to successfully clone websites the following settings must be configured:

1. The hosting package must allow ‚Website cloning‘

WARNING

The Application server the cloned website is provisioned to must use the standard SSH port (22) and connections to this port must be allowed from the server that the website being cloned is running on. Custom SSH ports will cause cloning to fail.

Clone a website

To clone an existing website:

1. Open Websites in the left side bar
2. Click Add new
3. Select Clone a website and complete the form
4. Click Add to finish
